Volleyball Recap: Lutheran North Comes Up Short

Lutheran North suffered their biggest loss since October 2nd on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Lutheran South Lancers. If the Crusaders were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Lancers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-13.

Haley Nelson paced Lutheran North's offense, picking up six kills. Nelson got some help from Jayla Everage and her 12 assists.

Lutheran South can attribute much of their success to Lilly Willis, who had nine digs and two aces. What's more, Willis racked up 11 assists, the most she's had over her last six matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Eliot Yaeger, who had 14 digs and four assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Lutheran North and nudges their season record down to 7-14-1. As for Lutheran South, their win ended an eight-match drought at home and bumped them up to 4-17-2.

Lutheran North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Bishop DuBourg on the 16th. As for Lutheran South, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Ursuline Academy on the 15th.
