Baseball Recap: Shalom Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Shalom Christian Academy managed to slip by Fannett Metal the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Flames lost 8-2 to Fannett Metal on Monday. The Flames were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fannett Metal apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Shalom Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Turner, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Turner's first of the season.

Shalom Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Fannett Metal, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Shalom Christian Academy will challenge Fairfield at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Flames are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Fannett Metal, they will take on Windber at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fannett Metal's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ramblers have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
