The Eastbrook Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the University Trailblazers at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Eastbrook is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
While Eastbrook's win against South Adams wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers skirted past the Starfires 5-3. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Austin Mikel made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Eastbrook is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-10 otherwise. Mikel was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Malakai Luthy was excellent, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted over his last 11 games. Blake Jacobs was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Park Tudor typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday University proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 5-1. The victory continues a trend for the Trailblazers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.
Like Eastbrook, University also got a great game from a two-way player: Cooper Cammack. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Cammack has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
In other pitching news, Cam Rady tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Beckett Suh, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Castetter, who earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
Eastbrook pushed their record up to 15-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for University, their record now sits at 15-11.
