The Weston Wildcats will face off against the Brookline Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Weston will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
Weston is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since May 17, 2024 on Tuesday. They skirted past Boston Latin Academy 3-1. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Wildcats have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Owen Jorajuria spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 13 Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ryuji Nawa, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
The home team had won the previous six meetings between Brookline and Framingham, and Brookline kept the tradition alive. The Warriors blew past the Flyers 9-3 on Wednesday. The Warriors' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Ben Cote looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Brookline is 4-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 1-2 otherwise.
At the plate, Elias Brendel was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those RBI were his first of the season. Felix Ham was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Weston's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Brookline, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Brookline's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Weston hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .374. It's a different story for Brookline, though, as they've only averaged .225. Will they be able to contain Weston's hitters?
