Softball Preview: Gainesville Red Elephants vs. Seckinger Jaguars

The Gainesville Red Elephants are taking a road trip to square off against the Seckinger Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gainesville has now lost 14 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since August 21.

Milton typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Seckinger proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 10-5 win over the Eagles. Seckinger's victory was all the more impressive since the Eagles were averaging only 3.96 runs allowed on the season.

At the plate, Megan Whitt was incredible, firing off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Milan Torres, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Seckinger didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with five strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Milton only tossed two.

Gainesville's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Seckinger, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-3.
