Softball Recap: Pandora-Gilboa Takes a Loss

Pandora-Gilboa had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 0-12 to make it eight. They lost 19-3 to the Hardin Northern Polar Bears. If the Rockets were looking for revenge after losing 22-12 to the Polar Bears when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Pandora-Gilboa saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Butte, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run.

As for Hardin Northern, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The result was nothing new for Hardin Northern, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

On Hardin Northern's side, Addy Bacon was incredible, firing off five runs, three doubles, and one triple while going 5-for-5. Those five runs gave Bacon a new career-high. Baylie Bacon was another key player, going 4-for-5 with five RBI and two runs.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pandora-Gilboa will venture away from home to face off against Leipsic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hardin Northern, they will head out to take on Upper Scioto Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
