Basketball Recap: Van Horn's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

After losing to Central the last time they met, Van Horn decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Van Horn Falcons managed a 45-41 victory over the Central Blue Eagles on Friday. The 45-point effort marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The win snapped Van Horn's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-5 record. As for Central, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Van Horn will host Smithville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Plattsburg at 7:30 p.m.
