Volleyball Recap: South Lyon Takes a Loss

South Lyon lost against Dexter back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lions fell 2-0 to the Dreadnaughts.

Kennedy Duncan paced South Lyon's offense, picking up ten kills. Duncan got some help from Lucy Stoll and her seven assists. Mari Hardin controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

South Lyon has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for Dexter, the victory was the fourth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

South Lyon and Dexter will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Lions see the court they'll take on Lakeland at 6:30 p.m. on September 9. As for Dexter, their break will end when they face Huron at 7:00 p.m. on September 9.
