Football Game Preview: North Bend Central Tigers vs. Arlington Eagles

The North Bend Central Tigers will square off against the Arlington Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. North Bend Central managed a 22-16 victory over Tekamah-Herman.

Among those leading the charge was Ethan Oden, who rushed for 97 yards and one TD. Dustin Zakovec got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

North Bend Central's run defense was locked in: Tekamah-Herman could only muster 1.1 yards per carry. While two picked up at least 11 total tackles, Oden stood above the rest. He rushed for 97 yards and one score. North Bend Central's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.3.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arlington). They strolled past Aquinas with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 33-14. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their seven-point performance the contest before.

North Bend Central better keep an eye on Oliver Ladehoff. He was instrumental in Arlington's win, rushing for 166 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry.

Arlington pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.4 points on average this season. As for North Bend Central, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
