Basketball Recap: Waurika Comes Up Short

After flying high against Temple last Saturday, Waurika came back down to earth. The Waurika Eagles took a 51-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Bronchos on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bronchos: they've now lost four in a row.

Waurika's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Central, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waurika will take on Ryan at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central, they will square off against Walters at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Central is facing Walters at the right time seeing as Walters is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
