Basketball Recap: St. Paul Lutheran Comes Up Short

St. Paul Lutheran has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lexington Minutemen on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Minutemen are ranked 123rd).

St. Paul Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Lexington, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

St. Paul Lutheran and Wellington-Napoleon will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Lexington, they and Carrollton will face off at 8:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
