With a playoff win on the line, New Palestine rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 35-27 victory over the Shelbyville Golden Bears. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

New Palestine's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sadey Hughbanks, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most boards Hughbanks has posted since back in December of 2023. Kylee Beranek was another key player, putting up eight points and 14 rebounds.
