Davis faced Fremont in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Darts never let the Silverwolves get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. Davis' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matchups.

Kyle Livermore was the driving force of Davis' attack as he scored both of Davis' goals, bringing his season total up to six goals.

Davis pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five games. As for Fremont, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Davis will square off against Layton at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Layton's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Fremont, they will take on Weber at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
