Softball Recap: Lunenburg Comes Up Short

Lunenburg fell victim to Tyngsborough and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 6-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Knights of the 8-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Lunenburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Tyngsborough, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lunenburg will square off against Groton-Dunstable at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.57 runs per game on average), something the Blue Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Tyngsborough, they will challenge Beverly at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
