Softball Recap: Plainfield Cardinals vs. Rahway Indians

Plainfield couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell victim to a rough 15-0 loss at the hands of the Rahway Indians on Monday. The defeat means Plainfield is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.

For Rahway's part, Amanda Lebers made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Lebers was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Danielle Maher was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jenna Maher, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
