Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Faith Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. The matchup between them and the Christ Prep Academy Patriots didn't end well, with the Faith Christian Academy Knights falling 47-31. The Knights were probably out for revenge after losing 38-33 to them when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Leading Christ Prep Academy to victory were Abby Theiss and Averie Yates. Theiss almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards, while Yates almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Theiss a new career-high in assists (five). Lydia Hoover was another key player, putting up four points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Faith Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Christ Prep Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Faith Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cornerstone Family at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Christ Prep Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-51 victory against Non Varsity Opponent on the 14th.
