Recap: Gregori Jaguars vs. Golden Valley Cougars
The Gregori Jaguars lost against the Golden Valley Cougars back in December of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Gregori ended up on the wrong side of a rough 59-38 walloping at the hands of Golden Valley. Gregori has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Gregori saw an underclassman step up: Jayson Powers dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds. The contest was Powers' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zay Feazell, who scored 9 points.
Gregori now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Golden Valley, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Gregori is on the road again on Saturday and play against Downey at 11:00 a.m. on December 2nd. Downey is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Golden Valley, they will take on West at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
