Reagan Kearns and Samantha Verstraete made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Kearns pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Verstraete pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. At the plate, Kearns went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Verstraete went 1-for-3 with one home run.
In other batting news, Mea Johnson was incredible, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Galesburg's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to Mahomet-Seymour, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
