Volleyball Recap: Winnetonka Takes a Loss

Winnetonka lost against Kearney back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Griffins came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-8, 25-5.

Winnetonka's offense was headlined by Diamond Cooper and Bailey Bircher, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Shayla Nguyen and her ten assists.

Winnetonka dropped their record down to 10-14-2 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Kearney, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-11-2 record this season.

Winnetonka does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kearney, after both having extra time off, they and Lincoln College Prep will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
