Football Recap: Troup County's Undefeated Season over After Ten Games + How To Watch

If Troup County was feeling good fresh off their 48-14 takedown of Spalding last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers lost 42-17 to the Sandy Creek Patriots on Friday. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Troup County still got an impressive performance from Garrison Edwards, who rushed for 80 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, and also threw for 85 yards and one TD.

Amari Latimer was his usual excellent self, rushing for 228 yards and five scores while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, and also picking up 54 receiving yards and one TD for Sandy Creek. Latimer's longest rush was for an incredible 79 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Troup County fell to 9-1. As for Sandy Creek, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. After each having a week off, Troup County and Westover will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 13th. As for Sandy Creek, they will square off against Cedar Grove at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th.
