Basketball Game Preview: South Anchorage Wolverines vs. Dimond Lynx

South Anchorage hasn't had much luck against Dimond recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The South Anchorage Wolverines are taking a road trip to challenge the Dimond Lynx at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

South Anchorage is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They took a 49-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Anchorage.

Meanwhile, Dimond also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Chugiak by a score of 70-58. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lynx came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Mustangs are ranked 69th).

Dimond's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for South Anchorage, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

South Anchorage couldn't quite finish off Dimond when the teams last played last Thursday and fell 62-59. Can South Anchorage avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
