Columbus was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They had just enough and edged the Downtown Doral Dolphins out 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Explorers.

Andres Gotera and Sebastian Tamargo scored both of Columbus' goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Columbus' victory bumped their record up to 9-6-4. As for Downtown Doral, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4-2.

Columbus will be playing at home against Archbishop McCarthy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Archbishop McCarthy's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Downtown Doral, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 4-1 win against Divine Savior Academy on the 16th.
