Baseball Recap: Brandon Comes Up Short on the Road Against Germantown

Brandon had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 7-3 to the Germantown Mavericks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 4-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Brandon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jay McQueen, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave McQueen a new career-high in doubles (two). Another was Tre Adcox, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brandon will venture away from home to take on Madison Central at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Germantown, they are taking a road trip to face off against Newton County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
