Softball Recap: Rowlett Beats Naaman Forest for Their Third Straight Victory

Rowlett entered their tilt with Naaman Forest on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Naaman Forest Rangers an 18-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Baylee Grant made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Rowlett got a massive performance out of Jordynn Williams, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI Williams has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Peyton LupPlace, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Rowlett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .758. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Naaman Forest only posted an OBP of .100.

Rowlett now has a winning record of 5-4-1. As for Naaman Forest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Rowlett will be taking part in a tournament against Rains at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Naaman Forest, they will take on Arlington in a tournament on Thursday.
