Baseball Recap: East Hickman County Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for East Hickman County's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harpeth Indians on Tuesday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

East Hickman County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Malugin, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. The Eagles are 3-1 when Malugin posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-11 otherwise.

East Hickman County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Harpeth, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

While East Hickman County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
