Basketball Game Preview: Heath Bulldogs vs. Granville Blue Aces

Heath hasn't had much luck against Granville recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Heath Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Granville Blue Aces at 7:15 p.m.

Heath is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Saturday. They took a 49-35 bruising from Johnstown-Monroe. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 554th, while the Johnnies are ranked 101st).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Granville). They breezed by Highland to the tune of 64-31 on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Blue Aces as they're now sitting on four straight.

Granville's win was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Heath, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Heath was taken down by Granville 64-32 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Heath was down 40-17.
