Preview: Sutherland vs. Kimball
On Friday Sutherland take on Kimball at 7:00 PM. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
Sutherland had a rough outing against Hemingford two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Sutherland blew past Perkins County 54-24. The lopsides score is just par for the course this season for Sutherland, who can brag about three blowout wins.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the match if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Kimball's strategy against Morrill last Friday. Kimball were fully in charge last Friday, breezing past Morrill 76-14. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 52-6.
Their wins bumped Sutherland to 4-2 and Kimball to 3-3. In their victory, Kimball relied heavily on senior Jake Jenkins, who rushed for 199 yards and 2 touchdowns. Sutherland will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
