Football Game Preview: Northshore V Vultures vs. Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool

Northshore V hasn't had much luck against Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Vultures will take on Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m.

Northshore V is leaving town to face Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Vultures were outmatched by Midstate Homeschool and fell 38-10.

Meanwhile, Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool got themselves on the board against Freedom Life Academy on Saturday, but Freedom Life Academy never followed suit. They breezed past the Patriots to the tune of 52-0. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool had established a 46-point advantage.

Northshore V better keep an eye on Brady Leblanc. He was instrumental in Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool's win, rushing for 78 yards and two scores, while also throwing for 125 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Those 78 rushing yards gave Leblanc a new career-high.

Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brody Habetz and Dominique Morrison. Morrison is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as he's now defended at least one in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Habetz got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Northshore V might still be hurting after the 58-34 defeat they got from Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Vultures avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
