Basketball Game Preview: Central Baptist Swordsmen vs. South Haven Christian + How To Watch

Central Baptist is 1-8 against South Haven Christian since December of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Swordsmen just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face South Haven Christian at 6:00 p.m.

Central Baptist is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Fayette Academy on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Swordsmen had to suffer through a 66-32 loss at the hands of the Vikings. The Swordsmen were down 46-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, South Haven Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They enjoyed a cozy 48-32 victory over Metro Christian Academy.

Central Baptist better keep an eye on Kade Atkinson. He was instrumental in South Haven Christian's win, going 6-for-10 to rack up 12 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Hampton, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 15 rebounds.

Central Baptist came up short against South Haven Christian in their previous meeting back in February, falling 59-53. Can the Swordsmen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
