Volleyball Recap: Dakota Takes a Loss

Dakota was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Anchor Bay Tars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Dakota sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 24-26, 25-17, 11-25, 16-14.

Dakota's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13-2. As for Anchor Bay, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-15-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Dakota is set to face off against their familiar foe Grosse Pointe South at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Anchor Bay will take on rival Romeo at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
