Catherine Schumm gave up the fewest earned runs she has since back in May of 2024 on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, she turned in her biggest game of the season, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

Schumm's strong effort led Cabrini over Detroit Cristo Rey and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
