Basketball Recap: Pinecrest Academy Cadence Piles Up the Points Against Indian Springs + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pinecrest Academy Cadence). They really took it to the Indian Springs Thunderbirds for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-38 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their 27-point performance the matchup before.

Jayden Falconer had a dynamite game, putting up 25 points along with five assists and five boards. Kejon Setzer also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Indian Springs lost on Wednesday, don't look at Vance Dilger. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Dilger is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Mekhiden Bravo was another key player, scoring five points and six rebounds.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Indian Springs, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Pinecrest Academy Cadence won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cheyenne at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars' defense better be ready for this one: the Desert Shields have averaged an impressive 64.5 points per game this season.
