Volleyball Recap: Windber Comes Up Short

The Windber Ramblers didn't have quite enough to beat the Washington Patriots on Saturday and fell 2-1.

Windber started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-18, 15-11.

Windber's loss dropped their record down to 9-5-1. As for Washington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-13-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windber will take on Rockwood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Washington, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. The Patriots are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
