Softball Game Preview: Mendenhall Tigers vs. Pass Christian Pirates

For the second straight game, Mendenhall will face off against Pass Christian. The Tigers will take on the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Mendenhall heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Thursday. They fell 6-1 to Pass Christian. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kimora Bouldin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Tatum Berry made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Corrine Allen also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Pass Christian is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Mendenhall, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9-1.
