Recap: Farmington Phoenix vs. Bingham Miners

The Farmington Phoenix scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Bingham by a score of 71-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

It was another big night for Paul Beattie, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 14 rebounds. Those 33 points set a new season-high mark for him. Braden Larsen was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.

Farmington pushed their record up to 5-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points per game. As for Bingham, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Farmington will be home for the holidays to greet Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Farmington likes a good challenge. Bingham will be home for the holidays to greet Olympus at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
