Basketball Recap: Austin Takes a Loss

Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 64-25 loss at the hands of the Cowanesque Valley Indians. The Panthers lost against the Indians in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 54-36 score last time.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cowanesque Valley, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Austin will be home for the holidays to greet Coudersport at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cowanesque Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Penn-Mansfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
