California has gone 4-0 against Smith-Cotton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The California Pintos are taking a road trip to square off against the Smith-Cotton Tigers at 7:30 p.m. California will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, California beat Fatima 53-47.

Meanwhile, Smith-Cotton ended up a good deal behind Battle on Tuesday and lost 59-44. The Tigers have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Smith-Cotton's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6. As for California, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-8.

California beat Smith-Cotton 53-43 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for California since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
