Softball Recap: Tivy Comes Up Short

If Tivy was riding high fresh off their 17-0 takedown of Wagner last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Antlers lost 8-2 to the Veterans Memorial Patriots on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Antlers in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost six in a row.

Tivy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leilah Rodriguez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Tivy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Veterans Memorial, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-2.

Coincidentally, Tivy and Veterans Memorial will both be playing Smithson Valley the next time they take the field. The Antlers will host the Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Patriots will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
