While Haleyville's victory against Fayette County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions skirted past the Tigers 4-2. The win was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won 14 matchups in a row.

Cooper McNutt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Haleyville's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jadyn Marbutt, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Haleyville's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Fayette County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-16.
