Softball Recap: Lawrence North Has No Trouble Against Beech Grove

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lawrence North). They were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Beech Grove Hornets on Saturday.

The team relied heavily on Victoria Guyse, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Delaney Martin-Thomson also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Lawrence North hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matchups.

The win got Lawrence North back to even at 2-2. As for Beech Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1.

Coming up, Lawrence North is taking a road trip to face off against Carmel at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Greyhounds at the right time seeing as the Greyhounds are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Beech Grove, they will host Indianapolis Scecina Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: the Crusaders will have lost three straight heading into Monday's contest.
