Basketball Recap: Louisiana School for the Deaf War Eagles vs. Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets

Louisiana School for the Deaf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets 75-11. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the War Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-7 back in December of 2024.

Louisiana School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Catholic of Pointe Coupee, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9.

Louisiana School for the Deaf and Central Private will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Central Private knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Louisiana School for the Deaf likes a good challenge. As for Catholic of Pointe Coupee, they will take on Slaughter Community Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Catholic of Pointe Coupee has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
