Volleyball Game Preview: Veribest Falcons vs. Paint Rock Indians

Veribest has gone a perfect 10-0 against Paint Rock recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Falcons will host the Indians at 1:00 p.m. Veribest will be strutting in after a win while Paint Rock will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, Veribest got the win against Olfen by a conclusive 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won five in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Veribest took every set by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-1, 25-4, 25-10.

Veribest can attribute much of their success to Chloe Becker, who had seven digs and three assists, and Peyton Daniels, who had nine digs. That's the most digs Daniels has posted since back in September.

Veribest was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Paint Rock came up short against Water Valley on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-8, 25-6.

Veribest's win bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Paint Rock, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Everything went Veribest's way against Paint Rock when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Veribest made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
