Volleyball Recap: Davenport Comes Up Short

The Davenport Broncos didn't have quite enough to beat the Mulberry Panthers on Monday and fell 2-1.

Davenport actually scored more points across those three sets (70-62), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-20, 10-25.

Davenport's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Mulberry, their win bumped their record up to an identical 7-2.

Looking ahead, Davenport will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Academy of Central Florida National at 7:00 p.m. Academy of Central Florida National will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Davenport surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mulberry, they will head out on the road to face off against Frostproof at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
