Soccer Game Preview: Spring Valley vs. Winfield

Spring Valley hasn't had much luck against Winfield recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Timberwolves will head out to face off against the Generals at 12:00 p.m. Spring Valley's last six contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While Spring Valley's win against South Charleston wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Timberwolves never let the Black Eagles get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Thursday. Filip Jessen had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Spring Valley.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Winfield had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Tigers as they made off with a 10-0 win. Winfield haven't had any issues with Chapmanville Regional recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Spring Valley's record is now 10-5-5. As for Winfield, their record now sits at 13-6-2.
