Volleyball Recap: Nixon-Smiley Comes Up Short

Nixon-Smiley lost against Goliad back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs lost 3-0 to the Tigers.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-3, 25-5.

Nixon-Smiley has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-18 record this season. As for Goliad, the win (which was their 28th in a row) raised their record to 35-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Nixon-Smiley will face off against rival Stockdale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Goliad is set to challenge their familiar foe Karnes City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
