Softball Recap: Onalaska Takes a Loss

Onalaska was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 18-5 to the Crockett Bulldogs. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 12-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mia Casillas-Kennedy was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Holbert, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Onalaska's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Crockett, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-6.

While Onalaska had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
