A&M Consolidated has gone 9-1 against Rudder recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The A&M Consolidated Tigers will square off against the Rudder Rangers at 6:30 p.m. The contest will give A&M Consolidated their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.

A&M Consolidated is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Lufkin just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 9-6 to the Panthers.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rudder). They were the clear victor by a 17-2 margin over Hempstead on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Rylee Puente was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and not a single walk). That earned run marked the first that she tossed this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Destini Mack was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those stolen bases were her first of the season. Sophia Moncivais was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3.

Rudder kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matches.

Rudder has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. A&M Consolidated's loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

A&M Consolidated took their victory against Rudder in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1. Does A&M Consolidated have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rudder turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
