Baseball Recap: Mount Ayr Comes Up Short

Mount Ayr entered their match against Southeast Warren on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Raiders fell 8-5 to the Warhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 back in May.

Mount Ayr's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Southeast Warren, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6.

Mount Ayr wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 26-0 victory against Central Decatur on the 20th. As for Southeast Warren, they will host Moravia at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mohawks will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Warhawks surely won't give up without a fight.
