Volleyball Recap: Oakland Takes a Loss

Oakland lost against Siegel on September 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Patriots took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stars. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 21-25, 25-20, 25-23.

Carlina Bauer paced Oakland's offense, picking up 11 kills. Bauer got some help from Ellie Knox and her 27 assists. Mikaela Holder controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Among those leading the charge was Baylor Burnett, who had eight digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024. Eliana Harvel also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Oakland's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Siegel, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakland will welcome Independence at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Siegel, they will challenge Stewarts Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
