Football Recap: Colleyville Heritage Find Success + How To Watch

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Colleyville Heritage ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 42-41 photo finish over the Seguin Cougars. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Colleyville Heritage's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bodey Weaver, who threw for 263 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 78 yards and one score. Weaver has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last six times he's played. Colleyville Heritage's leading receiver Connor Souphankhaisy was Weaver's top target yet again, picking up 123 receiving yards and three TDs.

The win made it two in a row for Colleyville Heritage and bumps their season record up to 4-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.0 points over those games. As for Seguin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.
